My Journey in the Luxury Travel Industry

With over two decades of hands-on experience, I’ve built a career around crafting unforgettable travel experiences and establishing successful businesses in the luxury travel sector.

Starting as the top global salesperson at Flight Center, I quickly learned the nuances of the industry and went on to build five multi-million dollar travel companies, each with a unique focus, from custom safaris in Africa to exclusive vineyard tours.

My journey has been defined by a passion for quality, a dedication to customer satisfaction, and an ability to adapt to the ever-evolving world of luxury travel.

A Look Back On the Past 25 Years

Kicked off my career in travel as a front line travel agent at Flight Centre, a global travel company

Earned the Global Top Selling Travel Agent in Flight Centre, with over 6000 agents worldwide

1999

2004-2006

Earned the North American Top Selling Travel Agent in 2004 & 2006

Left Flight Centre to open my own luxury travel agency, called Mason Horvath Travel

2007

Started a new business under the Mason Horvath umbrella that focused on destination weddings called Blue Petal Weddings

As Blue Petal Weddings success blossomed, we decided to sell it to focus on our core luxury travel business. It remains a successful agency today.

Started a new business under the Mason Horvath umbrella that focused on travel to the wine regions of the world, called Into the Vineyard Travel

The Into the Vineyard managers made an offer to purchase the brand, and we accepted. They are still running a very successful business today.

2014

Made the decision to turn Mason Horvath Travel into a host agency by moving all employees into work-from-home independent advisors

Started Athari Africa Travel, a luxury travel company that focuses on travel to Africa.

Started the Selling Luxury Travel ™ online program, training people to become Luxury Travel Advisors, even if they have no experience in the business.

After a successful 15 year run, I sold Mason Horvath Travel to focus my energy on Athari Africa and the Selling Luxury Travel™ program.
